We answer all emails - including those relating to demos. On average, we receive around 300 demos per month. We do listen to all demos submitted. However, as much as we would like to get back to artists immediately, this just isn't possble. So bear with us. It may take 1 to 2 months for the A&R team to give a response regarding a submitted demo.

Due to the enormous volume of demos we have received, Aardvark Records will not be accepting unsolicited demos until January 2011. We reached this decision with great reluctance. However, the the time it takes to process, listen to and respond to such a huge volume of demos is unsustainable at present.

Unsolicited demos (whether via email or post) will not receive a reply or responce. They will not be saved or stored for future consideration. So until January 2011 arrives, please do not send in unsolicited demos.

Thank you for considering us a label suitable for sending your demo to, but first have a look at our mission statement before deciding to submit.

We would like to add that we are currently overwhelmed by demos, so it will take quite a while to work through thm all. So, for the time being please be patient; we are doing our best.

By all means e-mail invitations to listen to tracks on your site. Alternatively, send samples in REALAUDIO or similar. However,our email server is set up to delete files over 2MB...so DO NOT SEND HUGE MP3's.

All demo submissions should be sent either by small file mp3 or EPK or as a link to your website/myspace etc.

Should your submission pass the first level criteria our A&R department will request a CD for in depth assessment.

R&B DEMOS. WE DON'T HANDLE THESE GENRES AND WE WILL NOT RESPOND TO THESE SUBMISSIONS.

Finally, you can send CD's, but enclose postage costs if you want them returned. Sometimes we prefer to hang onto demos for reference because, quite often, they are 'nearly there'. In such cases we offer some thoughts, perhaps on production etc, with the suggestion that we await your next production.
