Aardvark Records has the pleasure of announcing the signing of the German hard dance dance production duo, Firedance. The duo of Marcel Otte and Stephan Lohmann also release under the project names Clubbfire, Air One and Hardformers.
Otte and Lohmann, handled by First Base Recordings in Germany, had already begun making something of a name for themselves before coming to the attention of Aardvark. Their releases found quick favour amongst top German clubs such as Fun (Essen), Nanu (Herne), Playa (Bochum), Tarm (Bochum), DJ-Marathon 2000, Glaspalast (Dinslaken), König (Oberhausen), Viva (Oberhausen) and Königshof (Lippstadt).
The deal will see Aardvark introducing the duo's sounds to new markets around the world.
The Firedance sound is unashamedly influenced by earlier techno sounds, they have put a contemporary twist on the bedrock of their creative inspiration. The use of superb vocalists has produced a series of cross-over hard dance tracks. The Hardformers sound is all hard dance featuring vocals from Stephan while Clubbfire has a more euro hard techno style and features vocalist Muhad Amhemer.
"I thought I'd left my hard dance days behind me along with my Chipie, Chevignon, Stussy and glowsticks. apparently, I haven't. I heard the singles and they rocked, " said Aardvark records Head of Dance Music, Alex di Savoia.
When asked about the appeal of the German production duo, di Savoia said: "Hard dance with vocals isn't an easy thing to do. And these guys do it exceptionally well. The fact they use male as well as female vocalists will definitely broaden the appeal of their tacks."
Firedance, Clubbfire and Hardformers singles will be released in April.

Firedance was formed in 2006 by producer Marcel Otte and DJ/Producer Stephan Lohmann.
