Aardvark Records signs newest UK indie

rock sensation, Little Spitfire

Aardvark Records has the pleasure of announcing a new addition to its rock line-up...the Kent-based indie rock outfit, Little Spitfire. You think a female-fronted rock band is going to be cheesy, don't you? Be honest...you do! Forget the fluff and add some serious wellie and the adrenaline rush high from bone crushing extreme sports and you're in the right neighbourhood.

Big vocals, hyperactive guitars, bad-assed bass and periodically evil drumming is the stuff stage diving was made for. The hooks and lyrics are extremely memorable but its the high octane energy level that will get you every single time.

It all kicks off with the debut single 'if i look i see you'...pure and undiluted energy coming at you like a Mach truck being driven by a speed demon from hell. The accompanying video, which is being kept under wraps, packs as much of a punch as the single.

Aardvark Chairman, Andrew Reeve, said, "Rarely have I been so impressed by a demo. We receive hundreds of demos every month and this was a standout within the first few minutes."

"The energy wa totally focused and polished," said director Alex di Savoia. "I listen to far too many demos where a band can't control the energy and things quickly devolve into a mess. Not so with the Little Spitfire demo. It made me sit up and take notice. It also helped that Kirsten's vocals were absolutely 100% on every level."

Speaking about added attractions, di Savoia said, "There are a few rock bands fronted by women kicking around at the moment. While many are trying to stand out by being 'different', I respect the fact that this band went back to the basics while keeping things very modern. Pat Benatar, Chrissy Hines, Joan Jett and Dale Bozzio fans will love Kirsten and her delivery. And that's not ignoring the lads - there's plenty here to rock out to. The band's experience on the UK live rock circuit and support from UK radio also made the signing proposition a strong one."

If you like your hits with a bit of a bite and with passion, climb into the cockpit and take off with this crew.
