Little Spitfire debut video sparks

Computer Arts Magazine coverage

Aardvark Records has the pleasure of announcing a new addition to its rock line-up...the Surrey-based indie rock outfit, Little Spitfire. You think a female-fronted rock band is going to be cheesy, don't you? Be honest...you do! Forget the fluff and add some serious wellie and the adrenaline rush high from bone crushing extreme sports and you're in the right neighbourhood. Big vocals, hyperactive guitars, bad-assed bass and periodically evil drumming is the stuff stage diving was made for. The hooks and lyrics are extremely memorable but its the high octane energy level that will get you every single time.

It all kicks off with the debut single 'if i look i see you'...pure and undiluted energy coming at you like a Mach truck being driven by a speed demon from hell. Which explains the accompanying video, which has been kept under wraps. It packs as much of a punch as the single.

The video is the product of the genius that is Neil Horner of Imageynation - two names you'll certainly be hearing more of in the music video production world. Horner's video glides effortlessly between high-gloss, psudo-animation and hyper reality. Indeed, reality is a child suffering from a case of severe ADD in Imageynation's world . And not a rock music video or animation cliche to be seen. No small wonder then that the esteemed Computer Arts Magazine crew have written a modest feature about Little Spitfire's debut video for its November issue. The article will cover how Imageynation produced the video as well a fly-on-the-wall view of what the band went through to pull it off.

Horner and the Imageynation crew deployed cutting-edge video production magic when creating a very distinctive video. Passionate about music, the production team wanted to do something distinctive when they heard 'if i look i see you'.

"The video is stunning, there's no doubt about it," said Aardvark Record's Director of Marketing & Promotions, Alex di Savoia. "But the sound is incredible. Horner and his team worked some wizardry in how the sound comes at you from surround sound. It's just made for cranking up loud. I was a bit naughty. I had the volume cranked so loud that I didn't even hear my neighbours banging on the wall until the video was over. And it didn't stop me from giving my home cinema speakers another workout when I hit the play button again!"

di Savoia continued, "As soon as I saw the video it changed my whole concept around releasing Little Spitfire's.video, single and album. The plan had been to go the usual route of touting the video to music television stations. While I can't say what the new plan is, I can say we're taking it straight to the people and on a global scale in early November. It will have an edge that Aardvark is known for and it will involve a platform that major labels haven't really cottoned onto yet. It fit's perfectly with the concept that Imageynation and Little Spitfire have created. However, as a bit of a tease and to support our download for mobile sales, it's available for streaming on our website."

You will be seeing the video on your television screens from the usual music video television sources but not until mid-November. The video will also e carried through Aardvark's growing network of online video partners: Myspace, Google Video, YouTube, iFilm, RealOne and numerous other video streaming entertainment websites. It will also be carried by international video pools like Promo Only, Nightlife, SBA Music

The single 'if i look i see you' will be carried by all the major digital download etailers from mid-November. It's currently selling as a download for mobile telephones via the Halo Tracks network. Climb into the cockpit and take off with this crew...
