The UK-based acoustic pop songwriting trio Riveraire today announced fundraising plans to raise funds and awareness for the Society for AIDS Care (SAC) in Asia. Revenue raised from the mobile ringtone and download sales of the uplifting pop ballad Beautiful Love will be donated to the Hong Kong based charity. The ringtone and mobile download are available exclusively with the global mobile content marketplace provider voeveo.
SAC is a community-based charity and the first non-government organisation in Asia to provide high quality support to people living with HIV/AIDS. Its team includes nurses, social workers, counsellors and physiotherapists, who are committed to helping with the care and prevention of HIV/AIDS.
Riveraire’s involvement is in support of its singer Caroline Loftus, who will be performing at the SAC’s Annual Fundraising Gala Dinner in Hong Kong On March 8. Event attendees will receive a limited edition of Riveraire Beautiful Love CD, which will include details of how they can support the SAC by downloading the track at voeveo.

Riveraire’s charity appeal runs from March 8 to September 8, 2008. The Beautiful Love ringtone costs 50 pence to purchase and the full track download costs 65 pence – both costs can be converted into local currency for non-UK purchases with voeveo’s currency conversion mechanism. Purchasers’ mobile telephone operator may apply an additional network/download fee. voeveo has generously waived its sales fee.

Riveraire recently signed to the UK independent record label Aardvark Records after winning voevoe’s audio incubator competition. The band’s new EP ‘Down to the ground’ will be released on Aardvark in May 2008. Riveraire brings together the talents of London based Australian writer and performer Caroline Loftus and British songwriters Paul Carr and Paul Nolan.
The name harks back to the two Pauls’ northern roots and the river Aire in Yorkshire. Since meeting in London seven years ago, the team has been carefully crafting a catalogue of songs that combine soaring melodies, heartfelt words and Caroline’s rich and luscious vocals.
Riveraire's material spans the haunting and uplifting ballads 'Beautiful Love' and ‘Scared Of Standing Still’, to the rousing melodies of ‘Down To The Ground’ and ‘Feels Right’.
