Aardvark Records announced today the signing of the chart topping dance act, QED, to an exclusive, worldwide licensing and distribution deal with ToCo International.
QED have all the ingredients to take its place in the dance music elite - an extremely savvy producer (Valentin) matched with a world class vocalist (Kristine Hendricks) with a combined performance ability that is nothing short of electric. While previous singles 'Love Bites' and 'Islands' did well on international charts, the momentum of QED's debut album 'Mobius' simmered in the hands of previous labels that handled it before the project was signed to Aardvark.
Head of Aardvark's dance division, Alex di Savoia, said, "I knew that QEd and 'Mobius' would be perfect fits for ToCo. I know that in ToCo's hands, both will make their marks on the international dance music scene. ToCo has taken the momentum that Aardvark has built, along with various partners like Import Sound and Vision and are running with it."
The name "QED" represents the unique style that defines the talented dance act, and its ability to produce music popular with dance floors around the globe. Valentin and Kristine Hendricks have proven to be a popular duo with euro dance music enthusiasts.
'Love Bites', was the breakthrough story when the original version was released in America in 2003. It went on to quickly take the top spots on the Billboard charts. It subsequently went on to rack up a host of American club and radio DJ chart spots. 'Hardly A Day' and 'Islands', subsequent American releases, also went on to top chart positions.
Aardvark struck a licensing agent deal with QED and relaunched the project with new remixes in 2006. The remixes and albums gathered impressive radio and club Dj sport around the globe. Armed with hot responses and feedback, aardvark approached ToCo.
ToCo USA will launch the remixed 'Love Bites' in November 2006 with subsequent ToCo offices launching the single in 2007.
