Aardvark Records is proud to announce that it has signed a licensing deal for DJ Yahel's latest album Super Set II. The deal arose after the Cornwall-based independent label was approached by Yahel's management.
Yahel, ranked as the number 28 DJ in the World as voted by dance music fans, is a versatile artist with influences and techniques ranging throughout the Trance spectrum. His music resides in a lush synthesis of Club effects, Deep Trance beats, and psychedelia from the Goa scene.
The deal will see Aardvark introducing Yahel to new territories, namely North America, South America and SE Asia, while expanding his presence in territories such as Australia and New Zealand. The first release from the album will be the single Ocean.
Super Set II, while has the trademark Yahel sound that has won him a legion of fans, shows the Dj at the top of his game. He experiments with different sounds with samples that are used seamlessly to add further texture and vibrations to the tracks. His muse Tammy provides versatile and flawlessly delivered vocals. in all, yahel has delivered 10 storming tracks that are very club and radio friendly. Aardvark is pulling out all the stops for a release date in late April.
After producing six artist albums, mixing three compilations, and releasing dozens of vinyls, Yahel has established himself as one of the most popular and talented producers/DJ’s to have come from the Israeli Electronic scene alongside groups like Astral Projection, Infected Mushroom, and Atomic Pulse. He has the unique distinction of being a rare artist who has been able to achieve critical and commercial success in the European Club scene as well as the Goa/Israeli Psy scene.
The signing of Yahel is a hallmark moment for the UK independent record label, whose 'rising star' status is very much in its ascendancy.
"I almost fell out of my chair when I saw the email from FTP Music," Alex di Savoia, Aardvark Records Head of Dance Music said. "I had to double check to make sure it was the same Yahel. that I was thinking of. All i can say is it's been a pleasure working with a talent that I've been a fan of for years."
When asked about Aardvark's label recognition, di Savoia said: "Aardvark is still a relatively unknown entity in the UK. Because of that, I do tend to forget that we have an appeal, a recognised and respected name, outside of the UK. I couldn't tell you why the doors are closed to us in the UK but I'm very happy that's not the case outside of the UK. That reputation has brought us top international talent like Yahel, EricM, Chris Hale and QED."
When asked about the UK in particular, di Savoia laughed, "Who knows, maybe one day someone in the UK will cut us a break. For now, I'm really keen to keep the buzz going in the Americas, Australia and New Zealand. Cool things are happening for us in Japan and SE Asia too. It's a big world out there and I'm really looking forward to getting Yahel's music out there."

About Aardvark Records
Established in 2001 by Chairman Andrew Reeve, Aardvark Records is one of the UK's most creative record labels with an international reach disproportionate to its small size. Its current hit-making writers and producers include: EricM, Zetan Spore, QED, Thabani, Everett Young, Thabani and Jeff Alford.
Aardvark started life as a local record label handling a variety of Cornwall-based artists. It became a small national independent label in 2002 and has since grown into an international label with a network of in-house licensing agents and A&R spread around the globe.
